For The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the Xbox One. So black steel armor made out of ebony, gold daedric made out of dwarven.
- 'Questing heroes of all stripes seek after the fabled Daedric artifacts for their potent combat and magical benefits.'
- ―Haderus of Gottlesfont, from Modern Heretics[src]
Of the seventeen Daedric Princes, sixteen have an artifact attributed to them in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Before these artifacts can be obtained, however, specific tasks called Daedric quests must be performed. Two of these Daedric quests involve the reward being a choice between two artifacts, one quest being the 'The Black Star' and the other being 'Ill Met by Moonlight.'
Artifacts
Azura's Star or The Black StarThis reusable soul gem is awarded for completing 'The Black Star' quest. Azura's Star has the ability to trap white souls, or those of non-sentient creatures. These souls can be used for enchanting and for recharging previously-enchanted weapons. The Black Star has the ability to trap white and black souls, or those of sentient beings, instead of only black souls. It functions like a Black Soul Gem which traps all souls up to the Grand level, in it. |
---|
DawnbreakerThis One-Handedsword is awarded for completing 'The Break of Dawn' quest. Dawnbreaker sets enemies on fire, while also dealing more damage to undead like draugr and vampires and has a chance to make undead explode into blue flames upon death, which damages and causes nearby undead to flee, in the same sense as Bane of the Undead. |
Ebony BladeThis Two-Handedsword is awarded for completing 'The Whispering Door' quest. The Ebony Blade absorbs 10 points of health from enemies per hit, but can be upgraded only by slaying friendly characters (such as a person whose favor has been completed). For every two such characters killed the weapon increases in power, adding two to the strength of the absorb health, up to the maximum of 30. Due to coding errors, it levels up two-handed, but benefits from one-handed perks. This has been fixed with patch 1.9. |
Ebony MailThis piece of unique armor is awarded for completing 'Boethiah's Calling' quest. The Ebony Mail is a heavy armor cuirass that is enchanted with the muffle effect and inflicts 5 poison damage per second to nearby enemies. It also produces a shadowy effect while sneaking. This is the only piece of armor other than boots that has been known to be enchanted with muffle, making it very useful for upgrading Sneak. |
Mace of Molag BalThis unique one-handed weapon is awarded for completing 'The House of Horrors' quest. The weapon not only damages 25 points of stamina and magicka per hit, it also steals the soul of an enemy if they die within three seconds. |
Masque of Clavicus VileThis unique Heavy Armor helm is awarded for completing 'A Daedra's Best Friend' quest, but only if the Dragonborn chooses to give Vile his axe instead of using it to kill Barbas. Masque of Clavicus Vile holds the following enchantments:
|
Mehrunes' RazorThis unique dagger is awarded for completing the 'Pieces of the Past' quest. Mehrunes' Razor's enchantment has a 1.98% chance to instantly kill any opponent, with the exception of Miraak and Karstaag . |
Oghma InfiniumThe Oghma Infinium is a powerful tome of knowledge that is awarded for completing the 'Discerning the Transmundane.' When read, the Oghma Infinum will grant a permanent 5-point boost to all skills related to any one of the three major guardian constellations: the Warrior, the Mage, and the Thief. |
Ring of NamiraThis ring is awarded for completing 'The Taste of Death' quest. The Ring of Namira grants the user with a 50-point Stamina boost and the bonus of feeding on corpses granting +50 health and +50% health regeneration. |
Sanguine RoseThis unique staff is awarded for completing 'A Night to Remember' quest. The Sanguine Rose summons a leveled Dremora to fight for the wielder for sixty seconds. |
Savior's Hide and/or Ring of HircineEither of these items is a potential reward for completing 'Ill Met by Moonlight' quest, in a certain manner. Savior's Hide is a unique light armor cuirass that may be obtained if Sinding is killed at the conclusion of the quest. It provides the following benefits
The Ring of Hircine may be obtained if Sinding is helped during the quest. Its enchantment grants the wearer unlimited werewolf transformations per day, assuming that the wearer is already a werewolf. |
Skeleton KeyThe Skeleton Key is the only Daedric Artifact known not to count for the achievement, Oblivion Walker. It is obtained during the Thieves Guild quest 'Blindsighted.' The key is a decorative, unbreakable lockpick. It may be kept indefinitely so long as the player elects to delay progress any further in the Thieves Guild questline. |
Skull of CorruptionThis unique staff is awarded for completing the 'Waking Nightmare' quest if Erandur is killed. The Skull of Corruption deals 20 points of damage, but increases to 50 if powered with dreams collected from sleeping people. Casting the staff at them while sleeping will gather five dreams for the staff. Casting at an NPC while they're awake, however, will be treated as an attack. The staff has a range of effect on it and also has a unique screen illusion when casting. |
SpellbreakerThis unique shield is awarded for completing 'The Only Cure' quest. When blocking, it produces a Ward-like effect that protects the user from fifty points of magicdamage. It does not, however, protect users against Dwarven steam attacks. |
VolendrungThis unique warhammer is awarded for completing 'The Cursed Tribe' quest in Largashbur. Volendrung, also known as the Hammer of Might, absorbs fifty points of Stamina per hit. It is essentially a giant stamina sponge, as many two-handed weapons use a lot of stamina for their power attacks. |
WabbajackThis unique staff is awarded for completing 'The Mind of Madness' quest. The Wabbajack casts an unpredictable spell whose effect ranges from transforming enemies into other creatures to casting a random destruction spell to even fully healing enemies. |

Trivia
- For the Oblivion Walker Achievement/Trophy, fifteen of the artifacts must be owned by a single character, not spread out through multiple characters' save games. However, it is not necessary to have all 15 at the same time, only to have obtained them at one point.
- If Erandur is desired as a follower, and the player also wants the Oblivion Walker achievement, it's best to keep the Vaermina quest for last. Make a save game right before Erandur begins his ritual to destroy the Skull.
- The Skeleton Key does not count towards Oblivion Walker.
- It is most rewarding to obtain the Ebony Blade before any other Daedric Artifacts, as many of the Daedra Quests involve killing people the Dragonborn has done quests for. (The only people that are killed are the ones that gave the initial quest; or none at all, and they aren't needed to complete the game.) It's best to get the Ebony Blade before proceeding with the Civil War questline. If the Dragonborn attempts to do it afterwards, they'll find that it's no longer the same Jarl (but it can still be done).
- It's still possible to do the 'The Whispering Door' quest after completing the Stormcloaks' side of the war by starting the quest as normal, however the former Jarl of Whiterun will be located in the Blue Palace in Solitude, so a trip there to talk to the Jarl must be made, after this the quest will go as normal.
- To collect all of the Daedric Artifacts as rapidly as possible, the Dragonborn will need to be at least Level 30, because Level 30 is the character level that starts the quest 'Boethiah's Calling.' It can be started by either approaching the Sacellum of Boethiah, or by reading the book Boethiah's Proving.
- It is possible to get both of Hircine's artifacts (see 'Ill Met by Moonlight') and both count towards the Oblivion Walker achievement. This could help if one of the other artifacts becomes unavailable (e.g., failing a quest). (Confirmed PS3 & Xbox 360 & PC)
- All of the Daedric Artifacts can be sold.
- Artifacts can't be destroyed for their enchantments.
- Dawnbreaker and Spellbreaker can be combined for effective combat. This combination is most useful in the College of Winterhold questline. Tolfdir will ask the player to go to Saarthal and Labyrinthian, both of which have many draugr. This is also useful in dragon fights and main quests, as well as obtaining Konahrik, since the Dragonborn will need to fight against a number of Dragon Priests.
- Sometimes, Hold Guards will comment to the Dragonborn about certain Daedric Artifacts if equipped.
- The Rueful Axe does not count as a Daedric Artifact, despite it being a possible reward from Clavicus Vile. It can be kept by using it to kill Barbas on Vile's orders and its enchantment does 20 points of Stamina damage.

I made a spreadsheet for all Daedric Artifacts
- It was really annoying to check the wiki during gameplay... So I made this spreadsheet to made it easier, it show the Artifacts names, que...
The Dragon Priest Masks are some of the most powerful items in Skyrim. There are a total of eight to be found in the world, and one that you gain for collecting the eight. Gathering the masks could be considered a quest, but there is no formal quest given in the game. Be forewarned as the owners of the masks, the powerful Dragon Priests, are not willing to part with them, even if they are technically dead.
Skyrim Eso Daedric Armor
Dragon Priests are some of Skyrim's most formidable foes. Those who have names are even more to be feared, and these are the ones you have to fight to win the Dragon Priest Masks. When donned, these masks imbue you with their innate magical effects. There are eight masks to be found in the world, making eight Dragon Priests to be slain. If you manage to collect all eight, you will have the opportunity to get the ninth mask (Konahrik), which has its own quest tied to it.
Read more on Dragon Priests for strategies on defeating these enemies.

Dragon Acolyte Lore
[edit]
When the only KNOWN dragon priest who was also a dragonborn, A.K.A. Miraak, was banished to solstheim by his brethren for the consumption of the souls of his draconic masters, he stopped calling himself a dragon priest. Instead, he cultivated a new dragon cult, one to rival the original; and so, under Miraak (and new knowledge from his master, Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora), the OTHER dragon cult was formed. So began the war that led to Miraak's banishment. It is not known how this cult differed from the original (with exception of the originals being dragon PRIESTS, whilst Miraak's followers called themselves dragon ACOLYTES), nor is how the war progressed and ended. All that is known is that, at the end, the priests attempted to kill Miraak and his acolytes. For his three acolytes: The Icy Dukaan, Zahkriisos: The Bloody Blade, and former hero Azhidal The Flaming; death was swift. But Miraak, as a daedric servant, a dragon acolyte, AND a dovahkiin, wasn't easy to kill. In the end, he ALMOST died. He wouldn't have lived if not for Hermaeus Mora, who, fearing the loss of his most powerful servant, transported Miraak to safety at the last second. In the time between then and the time of TES V: Skyrim, Miraak has been able to ressurrect Dukaan, Zahkriisos, AND (given the player plays 'dragonbornside quest:unearthed' to the finish) Azhidal from their graves, leaving all four to be killed by the current (player) dohvakiin.
Miraak[edit]
Miraak, in all his time imprisoned in apocrypha, has not been able to find a new helm, so you can loot a leveled version of his mask from his bones. The mask's enchant boosts the player's maximum magicka by a leveled amount. See the video at the bottom for battle strategies.
Azhidal[edit]
In the buried depths of Kolbjorn Barrow, Azhidal waits to be raised from his crypt. In order to escape, he telepathically seduces Ralis Sedarys, a dunmer who is trying to excavate the barrow, into tricking the current dovahkiin into helping clear the barrow so Ralis can enter the crypt and revive Azhidal. Once you get to the point in 'Dragonborn sidequest: unearthed' where you've re-killed Azhidal, you can loot his mask from him. The mask boosts fire resist by 50% and adds to fire dmg dealt by 25%. Azhidal uses fire magic and is level 60.
Dukaan[edit]
In the White Ridge Sanctum is where Dukaan sleeps. Find the sanctum in white ridge barrow and re-kill Dukaan to obtain his mask from his ashes. His mask's enchant gives +50% to frost resist & +25% to all outgoing frost damage. He is a level 60 ice mage.
Zahkriisos[edit]
'In bloodskal barrow he lies, waiting to rise. do as thou art bade, and bring him the blooskal blade.' See 'sidequest: the final descent' for more detail on that. Cutting to AFTER he's dead again, take his mask, it'll give you +50% shock resist & +25% to shock damage (outgoing only, thank arkay!)
