Skyrim Set Follower Home
There used to be mods like My Home Is Your Home that let you set the home/dismiss locations of followers. I was wondering if anyone knows of a mod that does that, and preferably little more than that.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was and continues to be a huge success. In the first two days of its release, it sold over three million copies. That might be because as a non-linear open-world RPG, Skyrim gives players countless options to mold their gaming experience to their liking.
It was declared the most-played game of 2011 by gaming social network Rapt, even despite its late release in the year. It also won game of the year at the Game Developers Choice Awards. Many gamers consider it by far the best installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, including PCMag analyst Matthew Murray, who calls it 'the most detailed, immersive, and engrossing yet.' So with such breathtaking graphics and expansions that keep players hooked, why add mods?
Aside from the Skyrim mods that are unofficial patches that fix bugs and glitches, there's the lure that the game's creator Bethesda Softworks provides by offering extensive tools and documentation, helping mod makers.
Since Skyrim is a sandbox game, the possibilities for new content are endless. Developers have made mods where users can adjust and enhance the graphics of the game. Others have created mods that help players adjust settings for followers, horses, spells, and even homes. Some developers have a sense of humor, creating mods in which users can obtain weapons from Lord of the Rings, install players from Minecraft, or swap out dragons for a My Little Pony.
Amazing Follower Tweaks Home Assignment
Bethesda recently released the Dragonborn expansion for PC and Xbox 360 users. (PlayStation 3 gamers shouldn't feel left out; their version will be out on February 12.) Given the new release, we decided to take a look at a few fun mods to further enhance the Skyrim experience. In the gallery below, you'll find mods that are extremely useful for gameplay plus a few that add a little more fun to the Skyrim experience.
Skyrim Aft Set Follower Home
1SkyUI Mod
The default user interface for the inventory is slow and features far too much scrolling. This mod is essential for all players because it improves the UI on every level and makes it easier to use with a mouse and keyboard. Icons are used to distinguish items easily while taking up less space. Other information is displayed, such as whether an item was stolen or poisoned, along with a text search box that can help players find items in a hurry.2ENB Series
The ENBSeries mods by Boris Vorontsov are notorious for enhancing the graphics on Skyrim. This one features a good amount of controls for gamers, who can then tweak how the game looks. The brightness and lighting can be modified and post-processing effects can be added. There are different kinds of ENBs available from different mod makers, each with their own presets. This is not for the inexperienced player.3Immersive Armors
Players can enhance their Skyrim experience with a greater selection of armor sets by Hothtrooper44. This particular mod has some of the best custom and detailed Skyrim armor. The items are balanced (meaning they're not overpowered) and can be found throughout a player's gaming experience from Level 1 to Level 50 and beyond. The armor sets have also been added to random loot lists, which means they blend right into the lore and don't branch off from the natural feel of the game.4Wearable Lanterns
Players can now clip a Travel Lantern to their belt, either in the front or back, and keep their hands free for combat and adventuring using this mod by Chesko. It kindly lights the way when players have to combat in dark areas or at night. Players can attach these lanterns to their companions, who can then turn out the lantern once the players enters sneak mode. It's like a portable night light!5Build Your Own Home
Hearthfire DLC? Who needs it when you have a mod like Build Your Own Home? One of the most endorsed mods, Build Your Own Home lets players build and customize their homes, satisfying even the pickiest gamer. It's modular so players can create anything from a simple shack to a pimped-out fortress, with four themes that can be mixed and matched to make a hybrid and reflect their uniqueness. If you add the Adopt Children mod, you've basically recreated Hearthfire for free.6Ultimate Follower Overhaul
This mod gives players the ability to tweak the way companions work in Skyrim and adjust them for better control and usability. Players can manage their companion's equipment properly and force them to level up with them as well as teach them new spells. A player can also even recruit multiple followers (up to 15) although more than two can make it unbalanced. The easy-to-use mod even comes with its own follower horse riding system, up to eight.7Warzones: Civil Unrest
One thing that Skyrim lacks is the action from the civil war that is supposedly going on throughout the game. Many gamers who expected a world being torn apart were dissapointed, but thankfully for them, this mod adds epic battles and skirmishes. Thousands of NPCs (non-player characters) are inserted, spawning over hundreds of battlefields. Each battle is different from the last, with different NPCs every time, who will react differently to you depending on your standing with the faction. The mod is also customizable, giving players the options to choose the number of enemies they want to spawn, turn random skirmishes on or off, and add animals into the mix. If it's a bloody war you want, it's a bloody war you'll get.8Interesting NPCs
This mod adds flavor and depth to the NPCs in this game. More than 90 of the additional 100 or so NPCs are voiced with their own back story, adding to the role-playing aspect of the game. There are nearly 20,000 lines and 300,000 words of additional player and NPC dialogue. It includes eight full quests and six miscellaneous one, along with over 20 followers with location-based commentary and eight marriage NPCs. Dialogue is sprinkled with humor and is completely lore-friendly—some of the new NPCs even play bard songs. Players will start to care more about the characters they meet along their journey.9My Little Pony
A bronies' dream come true. There are several My Little Pony mods, including one that swaps out dragons and horses for a cartoon pony. Imagine seeing a giant fire-breathing Fluttershy come out of the sky, or riding around on a giant Dashie. Gamers can also play as My Little Pony characters and beat people with weapons that resemble them. Or for more fun, they can bake Pinkie Pie arrows to shoot at enemies.10Macho Dragons
This hilarious mod is a tribute to the late heavyweight champion Randy 'Macho Man' Savage. A dragon with a Macho Man face and bright pink cowboy boots flies around in the game's opening sequence. Instead of dragon shouts, you hear punch lines like 'YEAH!' and 'SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM!' What's even funnier is that the untouched NPC dialogue still fits the scene. Nothing but fear, horror, and disbelief.
