Nov 17, 2015 I am also in the need for an explanation on distant weapon sounds. As Bethesda decided to do that in layers, as opposed to coding. GOAL: I aim to make the weapon sound of the wasteland more realistic, and/or better sounding. In starting, I plan to only mod the ballistic weapons to sound better, I may add onto this. About this mod. This mod is a painstakingly done overhaul of ALL RANGED WEAPONS in Fallout 4, including Automatron and Far Harbor DLC. The damage calculations of ballistic weapons are based on this assumption: every 50J muzzle energy equals 1 damage in game. As in real life, muzzle energy is only affected by ammo type and barrel length. Handmade Rifle weight and the weight of all its various weapon mods were also changed so that it was no longer made out of tungsten:D. The new weight is based off of the real-life AK-47 so the weight should seem far more realistic now. Hunting Rifle weapon weight was based off the Remington Model 700 so it got a massive reduction in weight. Base without any upgrades is 5.7lbs, and with a full stock. Addons for Heroes of the Storm
Allowing addons for HotS has many benefits as seen in other games. Here are some of the possible addon categories.
GUI/Art addon: change the design of scoreboard or actionbar to something more interresting for those bored with the default.
Chat addon: filter certain sentence or words out from some channels avoiding spam and other bothersome messages you would rather never have seen. You could also translate words or sentences to another language or show emoticon picture instead of the text based smiley.
Combat addon: damage meter for the scoreboard, different cooldown counter for abilities or one that shows ult timer of ally/enemy team that you normally would have to use scoreboard to see.

Minigame addon: allowing content such as mini games which can be anything between a Tetris game or a guild system

Misc addon: showing stats on the screen such as how much dmg each ability gets with every level or mana/health gain or moving dps/fps/hps or such stats to a small window somewhere else. you could also make a radio addon or an addon that adds new voice/sentences to certain heroes.
